Roll Call

Tennille:  I am an imperfect, yet dedicated follower of Jesus and student of the Bible.  I am the wife to my own Mr. Incredible.  I spend my days feeding monkeys, searching for hidden treasure, leading safaris, blasting off into outer space, attacking enemy submarines, sword fighting, and all of the other mundane things that moms of boys do on a daily basis.
I was "turned on" to homeschooling when I taught a Biology class to a group of homeschoolers.  They were the most respectful, mature, intelligent, and fun group of kids I had ever met.  And (to my mild astonishment) they were very "normal" and even wore the latest syles!  I knew that if I ever had children I wanted them to be just like the kids in this group.  After graduating with a degree in Biology I went on to get a Master's degree in education.  After four years of teaching I had my first child and started homeschooling from day one.  Now I am mom and teacher to my two home taught tots.

The Free One:  My oldest son is creative, silly, full of energy, affectionate, and has a mind of his own.  If he's not chasing his brother or throwing something, then he is tying knots or rearranging my house.  He really matches the meaning of his name, "Free."  In this picture he is six and he is playing the part of king Hezekiah in a skit we were acting out for our Bible history lesson.
The Anchor:  My youngest is a talker!  He never runs out of things to say.  He is charming, hilarious, loves stuffed animals and cuddly things.  His personality matches his off the charts body size.  He is my little anchor in more ways than one.  In this picture he is three, and he is playing the part of the prophet Isaiah in our skit.

Now that you know a little about us, I'd love to get to know you.  Leave a comment and let me know you stopped by...

  1. Very fun Tennille! Now I want to go check out your new blog. I loved your quotes. I should have servants. Maybe children will have to do for now. :)
